FOLLOW OUR EASY TO INSTALL GUIDE
Step One 1

Preparing the installation area

Decide on the position for installing the GaraMat in the garage. The GaraMat must be installed with the logo and white border facing upwards. Installing
upside down will result in reduced performance and void your product warranty.

Step Two 2

Step Two

Clean the installation area with a dustpan and brush/broom to remove any leaves, stones, dust, debris, water, oil, and grease prior to fitting. If the
floor is painted, use a wire brush to remove any loose paint and provide a good surface for the adhesive hook-and-loop fasteners to bond to
properly. Be sure to remove any dust or debris after doing so.

Step Three 3

Fixing the mat securely to the floor

Mark the floor around the four corner edges of the GaraMat.

Step Four 4

Step Four

Fold up one corner of the mat and place a floor hook-and-loop fastener on the floor approximately 2” (50mm) inside the marks you made around the
edge of the mat. Then draw around the edges of the hook-and-loop fastener and remove.

Step Five 5

Step Five

Using an alcohol pad, wipe floor inside the marked area where the
hook-and-loop fastener will go.

Step Six 6

Step Six

Once the liquid from the alcohol pad has completely dried, remove the plastic sheet from the back of the hook-and-loop fastener and then place the
fastener onto the marked area on the floor and push down hard to ensure it is stuck down well.

Step Seven 7

Step Seven

On the over-turned corner of the mat, place a hook-and-loop fastener on the underside of the mat corner approximately 2” (50mm) from the edge. Draw around the hook-and-loop fastener and then remove.

Step Eight 8

Step Eight

Using the alcohol pads, wipe inside the marked area where the hook-and-loop fastener will go.

Step Nine 9

Step Nine

Ensure the liquid from the alcohol pad is completely dry. Then remove the plastic sheet on the back of the hook-and-loop fastener and place the fastener
onto the marked area on the back of the mat and push down hard to ensure it is stuck down well.

Step Ten 10

Step Ten

Repeat steps three to nine for each of the other three corners of the mat.

Step Eleven 11

Step Eleven

Line up the corners on the mat so that the floor and the mat hook-and-loop fasteners line up and then push down to secure in place.

Step One 1

Installing the GaraStop - car parking guides

Drive the vehicle onto the GaraMat ensuring that it is in the middle of the parking mat and
that neither the front nor the back of the car is overhanging the mat.

Step Two 2

Step Two

When you are happy with the position of the car on the GaraMat, place a GaraStop in front of the front left tire and then place the other GaraStop in front of the front right tire, ensuring that the tire is in the middle of the GaraStops. Then reverse the vehicle off the GaraMat.

Step Three 3

Step Three

Using a tape measure, measure the distance between the GaraStop and the front white line
on the GaraMat. Do this at both ends of the GaraStop to check both measurements are the same and the GaraStop is straight. – this can also be done using a spirit level instead.

Step Four 4

Step Four

Using a tape measure, measure the distance between the left
GaraStop and the left side white line on the GaraMat, and make
sure the measurement is the same for the right side GaraStop. This will check that the position
of the GaraStops are symmetrical.

Step Five 5

Step Five

Mark around both GaraStops with a marker pen.

Step Six 6

Step Six

Remove the GaraStop and then
clean the area where you want
the GaraStop to be placed.

Step Seven 7

Step Seven

Once the area is completely dried, peel off the backing paper on the bottom of the GaraStop and then place the GaraStop onto the marked location and push down firmly. Repeat with the second GaraStop.
