In 2009 GaraDry® is founded, and begins to sell its range of garage door seals into the UK market.
Originally founded in Great Britain in 2009, GaraDry® was created with one clear mission: to engineer the world’s most advanced garage door threshold seals. Built on a strong British engineering and manufacturing heritage, our products are designed for durability, precision, and real-world performance—qualities trusted by homeowners and professionals across the United States.

Our Founder
GaraDry® was founded by Mr. Ashley Smith, an Industrial Designer from England and a graduate of the University of Central Lancashire (BA Industrial Design). With more than 30 years of combined experience across product design, engineering, and the garage door industry, Ashley leads GaraDry® alongside a highly skilled technical team dedicated to engineering products that perform in demanding environments.
Designed and Manufactured in Great Britain- for American Weather
All GaraDry® products are developed at our advanced British manufacturing facility using precision extrusion, strict quality control, and rigorous environmental testing. Our threshold systems provide proven protection against heavy rain, wind-driven debris, snow, extreme temperatures, UV exposure, and flooding.
While engineered and manufactured in Britain, all U.S. orders are stocked and shipped from our Tennessee distribution center for fast, reliable nationwide delivery.

Our History & Timeline
GaraDry® exports to Europe
Following initial success in the UK market, GaraDry® begins exporting into Europe, and shortly after to Australia and New Zealand.
GaraDry® LLC is formed
Due to the success of the products in Europe, GaraDry® LLC is formed to supply the garage door thresholds to the American market.
GaraDry® Adhesive & Sealant is developed
GaraDry® develops its own brand adhesive & sealant, specifically for use in installing GaraDry® thresholds. The adhesive is stronger, and longer lasting than the previous off-the-shelf product.
Distribution warehouse set-up in TN
Due to rapid growth, and in order to get products into customer hands quicker, a distribution center is set up in Knoxville, TN, allowing GaraDry® to cut its delivery times.
GaraDam Garage Door Flood Barrier is launched
GaraDry® launches its 2" high garage door threshold. The largest floor threshold available, capable of holding back large volumes of water.
New UK warehouse is opened
In the middle of 2025 GaraDry® moves into a new purpose-built office and warehouse in North West England to better serve its customers.
