GaraDry® Adhesive (Black)
GaraDry® adhesive and sealant has been specifically engineered by us to be the all-in-one complete solution for adhering and sealing all of our garage door threshold seals. It is a highly durable and permanently flexible adhesive and sealant that has excellent adhesion to non-porous surfaces.
It bonds to damp surfaces and is paintable (with most paints). The sealant is odorless and free of isocyanates (highly reactive chemicals). GaraDry® sealant has a shelf life (in tube, not applied) of 18 months.
The recommended application temperature for this product is between 40°F and 95°F. Below 40°F the adhesive can become difficult to work with and apply correctly. Above 95°F the product may begin to cure prematurely or discolor.

Why Most Threshold Seal Adhesives Don’t Last
Many garage door threshold seals use generic adhesives chosen mainly for cost rather than performance. These products are not designed to create a strong, lasting bond between flexible threshold material and a concrete garage floor. As a result, the bond often fails in real-world conditions.
- Temperature changes and environmental stress quickly expose the weaknesses of standard adhesives
- Heat can soften the adhesive, causing lifting and peeling
- Cold can make it brittle, leading to shrinkage and cracking
- Water pressure can penetrate weak bonds and break the seal
